“I am replacing the rope on my dive door as it is now frayed at the connection to the top of the door (bottom when deployed). It is well used!!!! Is this rope for supporting the door or is it more to provide a means of climbing from the water and lifting the door when ready? If it is not a support for the door we will not set the length as to make it cause too much strain on the stanchion but more a guide and it will become tight with a load on the door.
