I am debating repower options for my 289WA. currently it has the original pair of 225 Saltwater series 2 Yamaha’s.
I would love four strokes but I am concerned about the additional weight a pair of 4 strokes would add.
I also am curious if there’s any experience with changes in performance with a modern pair 225 or 200 2 strokes and what performance numbers might be.I am much more concerned about efficency in teh 25-35 knt range than top speed.
