“Hi Brian, Thank you for using our Forum. The rope that supports the dive door is adjusted so that the door just touches the chine area when in the fully down position with someone using it. It’s necessary to do it this way because the door would be able to fully rest on the chine area and possibly get scarred if it had no limit on how far down it can go. I suggest adding some chafe protection to the area of the rope that is fraying now. Regards, Joe Brenna “
