Wow!… Another year behind us. I can’t believe how time flies. I think this year flew faster than any year in the almost 30 years that I have been with Intrepid, and I am sure it had something to do with releasing 9 new models in 12 months!
None of this would be possible without the support of YOU… our Intrepid Family. First, it is with the designs. Because we build the boats directly for you, we have the luxury and honor of learning what you like, don’t like, how you use your boat, and what is important to you and your family. It is these interactions that shape us as we evolve our product line. You are our designers. We just make what is in your head a reality and I cannot thank you all enough for your input as we continue forward because we aren’t done yet…Not even close.
The other part that we are extremely thankful to you all for is your support. We have over 300 employees at Intrepid Powerboats and it is only because of your trust and loyalty to us that we can all feed our families doing what we love to do. And because of that, we always give everything we have to return that same trust and loyalty by building you all the best built and engineered boats on the market. This support is also what allowed us to give you the largest new selection of models ever over a 12 month period.
We really are a big family. We all need each other and just like in your own personal family, it is important to never forget to tell the people in your family how much you appreciate that relationship, and that is what I want to do in this newsletter. I want to thank all of you, (from all of us) for an amazing year and with your continued support, we plan on giving you another amazing year in 2020!
I want to thank my wife Krysti for all of her support through another crazy year of putting up with me drawing new ideas at the dinner table and listening to me text to myself in the middle of the night when I have the next new model figured out… I’m not the easiest one to live with. Thank you for being the Clinton Family coordinator by dotting all the I’s and crossing all the T’s for all of us as we are all going at 100 miles per hour in different directions. You are truly the glue for us all!
And then there is my amazing daughter, Amanda, who gives her all every day to save others as a trauma nurse in an emergency room. She has a strength that I only wish I could have. I could not be more proud.
To my son, Ken, who is haunted with the same analytical and engineering mind as his crazy father whose love for cars (like my love for boats) has brought him to Mercedes Benz where he is the doctor that heals what ails them and dreams of helping design them like his father someday. It is actually my honor to have the same name as you, son!
These are two young adults that have reached their dreams with the support of you, the Intrepid family. None of these dreams would have been realized if not for the loyalty and support you have given us over all these years and this is just one family’s story of over 300 families here at Intrepid Powerboats that all want to thank you!
I am truly blessed to have this amazing family that I am looking forward to spending some time with over the holidays, and I hope that all of you get the opportunity to do the same.
As we begin our holiday season and as the end of the year draws near, I realize just how many gifts I have already received this year.
We are truly a family when it comes to building our boats.
Our factory team has presented our sales office with a great array of new models that have allowed us to present exciting new products to our customers. This year we’ve been given nine new models to take to market. Our engineering and production staff have been working tirelessly and at the same time listening to what our customers say to create our latest and greatest new models. All of our employees deserve a very special mention for all the hard work put into building our boats. This, along with the resources that our management team provides, has made every one of our new models a successful masterpiece of innovation and design.
Our incredible service and customer care team, both here in Dania and at our Largo factory, always provide the support that our customers deserve. They also make our rigorous boat show and delivery schedules seem easy. The logistics involved in setting up a show and delivering new boats at the same time is mind-boggling. Doing this would be a nightmare for a lesser group. That’s not the case here though, the answer is always yes, no matter what the task.
Our sales and support staff in Dania work very hard to present a product that is very special to those who purchase our boats. But, in the end, it’s our diverse group of customers who close the circle of our extended family. We are elated to know the community of people who own and use our boats. Thanks to all who have made 2019 a great year for us.
On behalf of all of us here at Intrepid, please accept our very best wishes for a Joyous Holiday Season and a sensational New Year in 2020.
Best,
Alex Rizo
2019 has been a busy year for us here at Intrepid, and we look forward to more of the same for next year. I want to say thanks to all our families and friends for making this possible. Every year the holiday season comes and goes, and passes much too quickly. I hope that everyone has a chance to take a break and enjoy the season this year. Boating is a family-oriented activity that brings everyone together. This is not only true for our customers but also applies to those who design, build, sell, and maintain Intrepids. I am lucky in that I get to interact with everyone on both sides of that equation. I appreciate the friendship and camaraderie that my position allows me to enjoy with everyone.
The FLIR Fishing Team’s new boat made its way to its permanent home this month. Jim Kelly was gracious enough to let us use it at our display in the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, and after that Travis Meisman at Quality T-Tops put some finishing touches on his electronics package. Jim called after he ran the boat home and relayed his thoughts on how much he likes his new 407 Nomad. He has the latest and greatest from us here at Intrepid, and the same from Raymarine / FLIR. It’s quite a machine that I’m sure will catch lots of fish safely and comfortably. I’m honored to be part of his fishing team and look forward to next year’s tournaments.
Best wishes for a very Merry Christmas to all, we look forward to serving you in 2020.
Happy Boating,
Joe
