  • Installing fiberglass in the bilges of boats and under the gunnels
  • Grinding/Sanding fiberglass to create a smooth finish
  • Painting gel coat on the finished fiberglass
  • Drilling holes for installing rig tubes
  • Installing plumbing materials, fuel, water and waste tanks
  • Prep liners and decks
  • Install hardware on the liners and decks: deck faucets, cleats, fuel, water and waste fills
  • Performs assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools.
  • Perform carpentry related work.

Under supervision, assembles, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical systems and components. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in assembly of harnesses and systems for marine use. Provides skilled electrical/electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing.

Under the guidance of the Department Supervisor and Engineering, this position requires the ability to construct full scale wood mockups of boats parts and sections for use as guide in shaping or positioning of fiberglass boat parts. May construct wooden plugs for molded parts, such as hulls, decks, cabins and other parts for fiberglass boats.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including but not limited to the following:

  • Constructs template, using knowledge of geometric construction, and hand tools and woodworking machines, such as crosscut, rip, and band saws.
  • Marks templates with identifying data and instructions, such as number of pieces to be made, type, and weight of stock, and location for installation.
  • Performs daily and regular cleaning
  • Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
  • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
  • Other duties as assigned.
